Purchasing Frontier Analyst will get you a web download ("electronic delivery") of the software. You can choose to also purchase a CD-ROM in a DVD case, and also available is a printed manual, both of which are charged extra. You can of course keep a backup of your download, or download it again at any time if you change computer or similar.

Key: graphs, reports, report designer, multiple CPU support, direct database import. All editions support translation.Multiple CPU support is a facility where large analysis can be split into two or more chunks, and then it is spread across the cores of the CPU. So if you have 4 cores in your CPU, it should be able to do an analysis four times faster. This only really matters when you have a large data set and tens of thousands of units, where the linear programming can take some hours.The comparisons facility allows you to run different models at the same time, with slight variations. For example, you might set up a model with “floor space” and another without, and then you can see what the effect on the efficiency scores is in each graph and table. This way you can see if floor space is an important factor or not. Each model takes time to run, and you can enable or disable them.The reports options  determine whether you have the standard reports (all versions) or can also edit them and customise them (500 units or more). SQL database import allows you to retrieve data into projects using SQL ODBC. If you are integrating into a bigger system, you may like to look at the PowerTrain web service offering.

Purchasing multiple licenses

When you purchase five or more licenses in a single transaction a 20% discount can be applied. The individual item price must be at least £150 (excl. shipping and VAT) for this to apply. Extended support and maintenance agreements are available for all editions of Frontier Analyst®. Please contact us for full details. Call for training and consultancy information. Frontier Analyst® Upgrades and Maintenance

Maintenance will give you all major upgrades in the period covered, as well as installation and operation support. Annual maintenance must be purchased for each licensed user. Maintenance does not include any physical product, but provides access to updates through the software internet-update facility and web site download. If your maintenance has lapsed for more than one year, it can be renewed for further support, but will not include major version updates. Renewal of your maintenance is available at a discount if you renew before the maintenance expires, or within one month of its expiry. After this time, a full price maintenance must be purchased again. Important: At no time does your purchased software expire or stop working - it will continue to work even past the maintenance expiry. The software will remind you that maintenance is about to expire, but there is no requirement to renew. Minor updates will continue to be available via our web site.

Shipping + VAT

Shiping costs are available on this page. All prices exclude VAT (value added tax) at the current rate. VAT is payable on orders in the UK. In the EC you must provide a VAT number or we must charge you VAT. VAT is not payable on orders from the rest of the world. If your government requires a certificate of origin, we will advise you of the additional cost. E&OE.

Payment in Euro & US Dollars

We will accept payment in British pounds, Euro currency or US $ dollars from any customer. Contact us for the current conversion rate and account transfer details. In any case, your bank or credit card company will be able to make the GBP payment and do the conversion for you.

What value is a "£ pound"? What is GBP?

If you are not in the UK, then you may be wondering how to pay. Don't worry - we can charge your credit card in "pounds sterling" ("GBP" - Great Britain Pounds), and the credit card company sorts out conversion at the current exchange rate so that the charges appear on your bill in your local currency. Alternatively, check if a local distributor is available - they will always take orders in local currency.

Academic Prices

Academic licenses must be used for academic teaching, learning and/or research purposes and not for commercial gain (see detail below). For non-academic (“commercial”) prices, please see above. Banxia Software guidelines for eligibility for academic discount. To qualify for academic/educational prices you must be a bona fide school, college or university teacher/lecturer, a registered student or a researcher at an educational establishment. Government / military establishments do not qualify.
